Land Planning
Our land planning expertise is founded on principles tested and developed through work on some of the most successful master planned communities in the southwest including:

  • Estrella Mountain Ranch, Goodyear, AZ
  • Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV
  • High Desert, Albuquerque, NM
  • Cinco Ranch, Katy, TX
  • Mesa Proving Grounds, Mesa, AZ

Urban Design
Our approach to urban design has evolved from experiences gained while living in some of the great cities of the world including: Seattle, Denver, Cape Town, South Africa, Aspen, Colorado and Scottsdale, Arizona.  We have applied our understanding and skill to the design of improvements to downtowns in the following cities:

  • Tucson
  • Peoria
  • Mesa
  • Flagstaff
  • Fountain Hills
  • Goodyear and
  • Scottsdale.

Landscape Architecture
We learned the art of landscape design by studing and working with some of the greatest landscape architects of our time including Rich Haag, Ian McHarg, Don Austin, Carl Johnson, Herb Schaal, Fritz Steiner, Martha Schwartz  and Joe Porter.  The philosophy of these individuals and others has influenced our approach to the artful use of plant material and site architecture to create spaces and orchestrate movement from place to place.  Our successful landscape projects include:

  • Arizona Canal Trolley Bridge and Stetson Plaza
  • The Tempa Arts Center
  • The Heard Museum Amphitheater
  • Mesa Arts Center
  • Tempe Town Lake Northbank
  • Phoenix Mountain Preserve North Mountain Visitor Center
